Chiara Martina Halter is a Swiss/Italian contemporary dance artist who creates critically engaged works for film, theatre, and site-specific performance settings. Motivated by private and political frustrations, Chiara strives to create within the realm of the commercial and the nonconformist, collaborating with architects, digital artists, fashion designers and more. She questions the ethics of contemporary art within a wider intersectional, ecofeminist context and dedicates her work to the pursuit of honesty, sensitivity and the brazen.

Having graduated from Trinity Laban and winning the TL Innovation Award ‘23, she has joined multidisciplinary art collective PR•SMA for two productions at the Kurtheater Baden (CH) and choreographed and performed for Futur.Shock at FOLD London and the Somerset House exhibit CUTE. Most recently Chiara co-founded Host Bodies; a dance collective making its debut September 2025.

Chiar is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where she was a member of Cohort 02. During the programme she worked with project leaders such as Dickson Mbi Company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Theo Clinkard, Steve Kirkham, Holly Blakey, Hannes Langolf, Seke Chimutengwende, Benjamin Jonsson, Rakesh Sukesh and Alleyne Dance under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger, working closely with individual mentor Darcy Wallace.
