About Dancing across Borders

Join the learning community of MA Dance: Participation, Communities, Activism in an online workshop delivered in partnership with People Dancing, the UK and international network and centre of knowledge for community dance practice, research and training.

This is a chance to get a glimpse into the exciting research being conducted as part of the course by staff and students, including physical explorations of resistance, interrogation of public spaces, approaches to embodied activism and questions of collective solidarity.

This workshop will have practical elements and you may be asked to move both inside and outside. You do not need to be in a dance space (your living room is fine) but you should try to be as uninterrupted as possible and to be able to speak, listen, concentrate and move with others.

The workshop will be delivered in English, and facilitated online on Zoom by staff and students of the MA course who live and work in different countries around the world.
